Such a charactor!!

So lately we have been introducing Cade to some new “big boy” foods! A few weeks ago we started giving him Cheerios. At first he just liked playing with them, but couldn’t quite figure out how to pick one up, nonetheless get one in his mouth. Well he finally figured it out! He kinda grabs a fist full of Cheerios, shoves his hand in his mouth and normally ends up getting one in there. Ryan and I were quite proud of his exciting accomplishment, as we are with everything he does!!

Also, we have started to give Cade fresh fruit! I bought him a little feeding toy, kinda like a fresh fruit popsicle. You put fruit in a little mesh bag so that they can suck the fruit through the openings, but only get small pieces at a time. Anyway, Cade LOVES this thing! We’ve tried apples and plums, but his absolute favorite is bananas! The only bad thing is that bananas make such a mess and dry like super sticky glue. Well last night we decided to let him have at it again, without a bib, and boy did he have fun.

Naturally, I grabbed the camera and as soon as he saw it, he gave me this shot…

Is that not the cutest/funniest picture you’ve ever seen!? Literally, the second he saw me about to take that picture, he dropped his toy and gave me this classic cheesier! Oh my goodness, what a character! Ryan and I were seriously cracking up. He continued to pose for a few more pictures before he got back to business…

Like I said, he LOVES this little feeding toy and will suck that fruit dry!

As I also mentioned, the banana makes such a mess!! I figured he’d need a bath afterwards so didn’t worry about a bib, well I learned my lesson. He needed a bath and a now a new onsie! Oh well, it was so worth it!

Ps: He LOVES playing in water too!!

He is just adorable! I remember those cheerios days and baths in the sink. I love watching them figure things out on their own and feeling so proud when they finally do. Reading your post made me feel a little sad at how fast time has flown with my kids. Enjoy every second with Kade!
