Seattle Vaca! (part 1)

After five years together and lots of fun trips, we FINALLY made it up to Washington (my hometown). It was our first “official” family vacation and Cade’s first time flying. As always, he did amazing. Kelsey came along for the trip too, so it was great to have her help. We kept super busy and did lots of fun sightseeing. Here’s some of our adventures…

Boarding the plane, off to Sea-Town!

Our little man rocking his first flight

Our first Seattle sight... Pike's Place Market!

Ofcourse we checked out the famous flying fish stand

Our most favorite stop at the market, Pike Place Bakery!! We pretend we go for the vendors and whole experience, but really, we go for the cookies!!

Here we are with our tour guide for most of the week, my beautiful mamacita!!

Another tourist must see, the quirky Curiousity Shop, so fun!

Friday we had a date night with my best bud, my cousin Kelli, and her husband Dan. They took us to the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls. After checking out the park, we ate dinner at the lodge at a nice resturant right on the edge of the waterfall. We had the best seat in the house, right by the window with a perfect few of the water. Plus, the food was delish!

Saturday my mom coordinated a campout at the Ensign Ranch. The church owns land up in the mountains that a lake, river, and lots of fun things to do. We camped there alot growing up, so it was fun to go back and visit. We had the most perfect spot, right on the river and totally shaded by big trees. The ranch is split up into several camps, the camp we stayed at has A-frames to sleep in. The kids (our nieces and nephews) all slept upstairs and the rest of us adults all cozied up below. We had so much fun hanging out as a family and playing together.

Cade and I hanging out at our camp spot, with the river running right behind us.

My cute little niece, Liz!

Uncle Ian got lots of snuggle time with Cade.

Ofcourse camping meant lots of yummy food and treats.

Once the sun went down, it was super cold, especially being so close the water. We all bundled up, especially Cade.

Cade caught my cold and was not feeling well, so he kept us up most of the night, but we were all smiles the next day and ready for more fun...

More pictures to come. Stay tuned.
