Colorado

Colorado... We decided to stay out of the sun for Spring Break and hit up the slopes instead. Ryan and I, along with 9 of our friends, made the trip up to Purgatory Mountain to snowboard for the weekend. It was my first time snowboarding so I hung out at the bunny hills most of the time, but with Ryan' s coaching and patience I become an expert (well maybe not an expert, but now I can make it down the mountain.) Even in the freezing tempatures we had an absolute blast! Ryan already loved the sport and now I am hooked as well. Plan on seeing pictures of all bundled up in the freezing cold for years to come!

ASU

Being both huge sport and ASU fans, we decided to hit up one of the last games of the season for support the Sun Devils. Another fun Saturday night out on the town!

Sedona

Day trip to Sedona! With a day off from work Ryan and I figured it would be the perfect day to visit Sedona. We had never been before so you can imagine how amazed we were to see the red rock. The pictures hardly do justice, but I can tell you, it is beautiful. We had lunch at the Cowboy Cafe, visited all the little shops, and drove up the ridge for a quite walk in the mountains.

Hawaii

Ryan and I were lucky enough to ring in the New Year in style. Ryan's parents took the whole family to Hawaii for a week. It was absolute paradise. We stayed in a beach house in Lanikai Beach. The views were absolutely breathtaking, enough to make us never want to leave the house. But we did and had a blast. We did a little of everything. We went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, spent a day at Secret Island, visited the Polynesian Center, hit up the swap meet and spent lazy days at the beach. We had one of Ryan's mission companion's as a tour guide for the week and got hooked up with the special treatment. Everyday was filled with something new and exciting. Hawaii was an amazing vacation that we will never forget. We're already ready to go back!

Christmas

This was our very first Christmas as a married couple! One of my favorite parts was decorating our very own place! We started from almost scratch, so there was quite of a bit of Christmas decoration shopping to be done (which you know I loved). In the end, we were quite proud of our work. It was nice to come home to a fabulously festive home every day. We followed in last year's tradition by visiting the Mesa Temple lights on Christmas Eve. We slept in Christmas morning before opening our presents and making omelets together. All in all it was very successful holiday. Our first Christmas, and a very special one at that!
