Goodness gracious, time flies when you’re a new mama! I can hardly believe I have an 8, almost 9 week old baby boy! It has been an exciting, exhausting, and exhilarating 2 months full of learning and a whole bunch of fun firsts. In the past few weeks Cade has started to focus on and be entertained by all sorts of things. He loves sunlight and will stare out the window forever. He is absolutely amused by the ceiling fans and is starting to interact with the mobiles on his swing and bouncer. But his favorite source of entertainment is mommy and daddy. He definitely recognizes us now, which I just the sweetest thing ever. IT IS SO FUN to play with and get smiles out of our little guy. We love to sing, tickle and just do whatever silly thing we can to make him happy and get some laughter and that big ol cheeser that we love so much. My favorite time of day is first thing in the morning when he is just the happiest little baby ever. Once I hear him waking up I put him in bed with me and just enjoy my smiley cuddly bug. Ryan’s favorite time of the day is ofcourse when he gets home from work. He just lights up when he sees his son and Cade gets pretty excited to see his daddy too! We are so in love with our beautiful baby and can’t wait to spend every single day with him!
Ps: Did I mention Cade is getting huge! Check it out...
We blessed Cade at church on Easter Sunday. I just loved his little Easter/blessing outfit. Ryan actually dressed him that morning and when I came in to see I got very emotional seeing my little baby in white. I’m so grateful that Ryan was able to bless our son and he did an absolutely amazing job!! It was a very special day for Ryan and I as first time parents and I loved sharing it with our family and friends. Ryan’s whole family traveled to Arizona for the special occasion. Also, Cade’s Great Grandpa Taylor was able to participate in blessing his 50th great grandchild on his 87th birthday. What a perfect way to celebrate Easter!
My cousin Laura is one of my very best friends! Laura got married right after high school and started her family soon thereafter. Laura has been my biggest cheerleader in having a baby so we could be mamas together. Well now that her first baby is five years old, Laura finally got her wish and we have little babies together! This is the first picture of us together with our little babes!
