Vacation Time... Madonna Inn!

This weekend we are staying in San Luis Obispo, a little town near Pismo Beach. One famous landmark in SLO is the Madonna Inn. As if the name weren’t glamorous enough, the hotel is absolutely amazing. It is famous for its fun and quirky rooms, each decorated with a theme, such as the Caveman Room, the Love Nest or the Oriental Fantasy. Being that we just had to get a closer glimpse, we decided to have brunch at the Inn’s restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, but the grounds were so fun. Never in my life have I seen so much pink décor… I loved it!

Check out all the different rooms at the website, they’re fun to see… http://www.madonnainn.com/tour/index.asp

Vacation time!

So since our big trip in November we have not vacation and it is definitely time to get away. We have a wedding to attend next weekend in California, so we are making a vacation out of it. Since I’ve been so horrible with posting lately, I decided to blog as we go. Enjoy!

Friday we left Phoenix straight from work and made our way to Palm Springs, where we crashed with Ryan’s Grandma Marilyn. Saturday we woke up drove up to Pismo Beach to stay with Ryan’s family for the weekend. Saturday night had dinner near the beach and walked along the pier. We also went to The Great American Melodrama, which was very fun!

Bear Landes!

Bella... meet Bear!

So as mush as we love our Bella Bean, we decided it was time to get another dog. We feel bad that we work all day and wanted to get Bella a friend, or should we say BOYFRIEND! We found the perfect puppy and named him Bear. We brought him home this weekend and were quite entertained with their first meeting. Bear pounced all over Bella for the first hour, but they were friends in no time.

Date Night!

Saturday night my handsome husband and I got out of the house for our weekly date night. With all the hustle and bustle of our busy lifes, it is always nice to spend time with my best friend and the one I love most!

In honor of our last weekend with just Bella, here are some glam shots!

Giants: Take 2!

So I wish I had a more exciting event to talk about, but during spring training season Giant's game are a way of life! This was Ryan's 5th game in a month, but if it were up to him he'd spend every single day at the ball park. Ryan's older brother, Kyle, was in town for the festivities and we all spend Saturday afternoon cheering on the Giant's victory over the Brewers. Go San Fransico!
All decked out in SF gear!

Rockin Out...

Saturday was the lovely Candee Skousen’s birthday! So in celebration Matt put together a rockin desert party. Mark brought out his trailer with all the rock gear and we rocked out in the middle of the desert. It was quite a festivity! Happy Birthday Candee!!
Hardcore Rockstars!

The Birthday Girl!

Lovely Ladies!
In true desert style we had a bonfire.
Lucky for us we were saving our tree for just an occassion.
That thing went up in flames in seconds.

Take me out to the ball game...

Ryan’s favorite time of the year is finally here… baseball season! And even better… Giant’s Spring Training! So of course we were at the first Saturday game of the year. We got some lawn seat tickets, spread out on a blanket and enjoyed the game!

Hiking we go!

So after three and a half years together... I finally got Ryan to go hiking with me. We had the day off of work for President's Day and decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and hike Usery Pass. We had a blast and definitely plan to hike again soon!

Love Day!!

Ryan and I love to play up our holidays, and Valentine’s Day is no exception! Throughout the day we stumbled across surprises from each other. I found this teddy bear on my car seat first thing in the morning. Ryan found a love basket on his desk when he got back from a break and I was picked up for lunch in colorfully decorated car. We exchanged gifts later in the evening, but it was the fun little reminders of how much we love each other that made the day so much fun!!

Yes, he actually wrote this on my window!
