Payson Snow Day!!

Who doesn't love to get away for the weekend? Well when we heard Payson had snow for us we decided to take a trip up to the cabin and spend a day playing in the snow!

Ooh... suspenders!

Ryan's perfect landing

Ryan and I were at the mall this week and saw some long johns on sale. Well since we can never seem to find some when we need them we decided to snatch them up (so what if they're made for men! :) Well perfect for us, we got to model them as part of our snow gear. Sexy huh!?

Happy Birthday Kelsey!

My little sister, Miss Kelsey Taylor celebrated a very big birthday this week... her 21st! Kelsey's friends and I put together a surprise girl's dinner in her behalf at Macaroni Grill. As always, we had a blast together!

Earlier in the week we had a little family dinner and I made her a very special cake for the very special birthday girl!

Miss Study Buddy!

Ryan and I are both full time students, which means we have a ton of homework! Through all the late nights Bella has just been the best study buddy. Tonight I caught her keeping Ryan company, snuggled up on his shoulders and had to take a picture. So cute!

2007 Wrap up!!

So as you can see I have not done a very good job at keeping up our page... however I am going to do much better in 2008! But before we can move on to a new year I want to share our last one with you because it was a very eventful one for us!

In our Christmas card this year I highlighted our year in a poem....

This year has been an exciting one for the Landes crew,
So here it is, all wrapped up for you...

Our search for a home started way back in ‘06,
But this was the year it all came together, without a hitch.

We found our yellow home, adorned with white trim,
In the lovely Gilbert Gardens, along the East Valley’s rim.

Summer was the season for the big exciting move,
But also a time for a new family member to join the groove.

Yes, Pixie Terra Bella Landes joined our little home,
Our fluffy white fur ball pounced right into her puppy throne.

So there we were, a new house and a new friend,
We thought we were on top of the world, but that wasn’t the end…

Soon fall came and November brought another special occasion,
Eleven Twenty-one, our temple sealing day, a heavenly celebration.

It was official, finally sealed for forever and a day,
So off we went to celebrate in the most exciting way…

Passports in hand, luggage in toe,
We flew off to paradise, to Costa Rica we go!

Ten days under the sun, jungles, monkeys, oh what a glorious time,
Ten days under the sun, memories in our hearts to forever shine.

Back home we came, yes the holiday season is here,
Just in time to send out this greeting…
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!

Colorado

Colorado... We decided to stay out of the sun for Spring Break and hit up the slopes instead. Ryan and I, along with 9 of our friends, made the trip up to Purgatory Mountain to snowboard for the weekend. It was my first time snowboarding so I hung out at the bunny hills most of the time, but with Ryan' s coaching and patience I become an expert (well maybe not an expert, but now I can make it down the mountain.) Even in the freezing tempatures we had an absolute blast! Ryan already loved the sport and now I am hooked as well. Plan on seeing pictures of all bundled up in the freezing cold for years to come!

ASU

Being both huge sport and ASU fans, we decided to hit up one of the last games of the season for support the Sun Devils. Another fun Saturday night out on the town!

Sedona

Day trip to Sedona! With a day off from work Ryan and I figured it would be the perfect day to visit Sedona. We had never been before so you can imagine how amazed we were to see the red rock. The pictures hardly do justice, but I can tell you, it is beautiful. We had lunch at the Cowboy Cafe, visited all the little shops, and drove up the ridge for a quite walk in the mountains.

Hawaii

Ryan and I were lucky enough to ring in the New Year in style. Ryan's parents took the whole family to Hawaii for a week. It was absolute paradise. We stayed in a beach house in Lanikai Beach. The views were absolutely breathtaking, enough to make us never want to leave the house. But we did and had a blast. We did a little of everything. We went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, spent a day at Secret Island, visited the Polynesian Center, hit up the swap meet and spent lazy days at the beach. We had one of Ryan's mission companion's as a tour guide for the week and got hooked up with the special treatment. Everyday was filled with something new and exciting. Hawaii was an amazing vacation that we will never forget. We're already ready to go back!

Christmas

This was our very first Christmas as a married couple! One of my favorite parts was decorating our very own place! We started from almost scratch, so there was quite of a bit of Christmas decoration shopping to be done (which you know I loved). In the end, we were quite proud of our work. It was nice to come home to a fabulously festive home every day. We followed in last year's tradition by visiting the Mesa Temple lights on Christmas Eve. We slept in Christmas morning before opening our presents and making omelets together. All in all it was very successful holiday. Our first Christmas, and a very special one at that!
