This weekend was an exciting one for our little family! Ryan graduated and we celebrated my first Mother’s Day!!

Ryan’s graduation ceremony was Saturday morning. His mom, dad, and grandma flew in early Saturday morning just in time for the commencement. It was very exciting!! My favorite part was when the bagpipes were playing, then the graduation music started and all the graduates marched out. We were at the Cardinal’s stadium, but somehow in that huge arena, Ryan walked out, looked right up at us and waved! My heart melted and I was just so proud of him in that moment! I taped his initials on the top of hat, so we were able to follow him the whole ceremony, which was kinda fun. After the ceremony and lots of pictures, we went to Jason’s Deli for lunch and then officially celebrated at Buca Di Bepo for dinner with the family! It was a very exciting day for all of us!

Very proud wife!

When we found Ryan after the ceremony he didn’t have his scarf around his neck. I told him he needed to put it back on for pictures, but he said, “No, I’m supposed to put it on the person who supported me most through my degree.” He then put it around my neck. I had no idea that was the tradition and thought it was sweet!

Sunday was another amazing day! Ryan’s goal for the day was to be in charge of Cade as much as possible and give me a day off, which was nice. First thing in the morning he gave me my gifts (a picture of Christ I wanted for the house and Sleepless in Seattle, a class movie I had been wanting) and then got going on breakfast. Since Ryan’s family was still in town, all the guys took charge and made an amazing brunch for the ladies. In the mean time, Ryan got Cade dressed in a little outfit he bought and surprised me with. Soon it was time for church. Later that afternoon Ryan took his family to the airport and I got a nice nap. Ryan had dinner planned for me, so once again I was not allowed in the kitchen. He made Chicken Parmesan for the first time, which was very yummy. After dessert and getting Cade to bed, we got to hangout for a little bit, which I always love. All in all, it was a relaxing, but very enjoyable day! More than anything, I just realized how lucky I am to have my little family. I love being Cade’s mommy and Ryan’s wife!!
